The Rules Change Committee (RCC) is inviting all WESM Members and interested parties to submit comments to IEMOP’s Proposed Amendments to the WESM Rules and Various WESM Market Manuals regarding Energy Storage Systems in view of the DOE DC2023-04-0008​.

The proposed amendments seek to conform to the DOE DC2023-04-0008 dated 20 April 2023 for the integration of different Energy Storage Systems (ESS) technologies and configuration types in the WESM.

The Market documents proposed to be amended are:

1. WESM Rules
2. WESM Manual on Registration, Suspension and De-Registration Criteria and Procedures Issue 18.0
3. WESM Manual on Market Network Model Development and Maintenance – Criteria and Procedures Issue 8.0
4. WESM Manual on Dispatch Protocol Issue 21.0
5. WESM Manual on Load Forecasting Methodology Issue 5.0

Kindly submit your comments (in Word format) through the File a Submission page no later than 07 October 2024 or 30 working days from the date of publication (22 August 2024). Please input in the proper field the e-mail address of your point person(s) whom we could further contact regarding activities related to the processing of the proposal. All comments received shall be published in the PEMC website.
