ERC Order & Notice of Public/Virtual Hearing 15 January 2025 (Supplemental Market Fees Application for CY 2024-2027)

Notice is hereby given that on 26 September 2024, the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) and the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines, Inc. (IEMOP) filed their Joint Supplemental Application dated 12 September 2024 in the case titled, “In the Matter of the Application for the Approval of the Supplemental Market Fees for Calendar Years 2024 to 2027 for the Philippine Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) with Motion for Issuance of Provisional Authority,” docketed as ERC Case No. 2024-166 RC.

The Joint Supplemental Application was filed with the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) seeking its approval of the level of Supplemental Market Fees for Calendar Years 2024 to 2027 for the Philippine Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, specifically in relation to the governance and monitoring of the Reserve Market.

In the Order and Notice of Public/Virtual Hearing, both dated 15 January 2025, the ERC scheduled the Joint Supplemental Application for hearing on the following dates:

As stated in the Notice of Public/Virtual Hearing, any interested stakeholder may submit its comments and/or clarifications at least one (1) calendar day prior to the scheduled initial hearing via electronic mail (e-mail) at docket@erc.ph, and copy furnish the Legal Service through legal@erc.ph.

Moreover, any persons who have an interest in the subject matter of the instant case may become a party by filing with the Commission via e-mail at docket@erc.ph, and copy furnishing the Legal Service through legal@erc.ph, a verified Petition to Intervene at least five (5) calendar days prior to the date of the initial hearing. The verified Petition to Intervene must follow the requirements under Rule 9 of the ERC Revised Rules of Practice and Procedure.

Likewise, all other persons who may want their views known to the Commission with respect to the subject matter of the case may file through e-mail at docket@erc.ph, and copy furnish the Legal Service through legal@erc.ph, their Opposition or Comment thereon at least five (5) calendar days prior to the initial hearing. Rule 9 of the ERC Revised Rules of Practice and Procedure shall govern.

All interested parties filing their Petition to Intervene, Opposition or Comment are required to submit the hard copies thereof through personal service, registered mail or ordinary mail/private courier, within five (5) working days from the date that the same were electronically submitted, as reflected in the acknowledgment receipt e-mail sent by the Commission.

A copy of the Joint Application may be accessed at the ERC official website at www.erc.gov.ph. You may also e-mail your request for a copy of the same to the PEMC Legal Department at legal@wesm.ph.

Finally, all interested persons may be allowed to join the scheduled initial hearings by providing the ERC, thru legal.virtualhearings@erc.ph, their respective e-mail addresses and indicating therein the case number of the instant Joint Supplemental Application. The ERC will send the access link/s to the aforementioned hearing platform within five (5) working days prior to the scheduled hearings.
