Pursuant to DOE Department Circular DOE DC2019-12-0016, the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC) is currently accepting nominations for vacant membership to the Renewable Electricity Market (REM) Governance Committee as follows:

• One (1) representative from the REM Generators and Suppliers Sector;
• One (1) representative from the Private Distribution Utilities Sector; and
• One (1) representative from the Electric Cooperatives Sector.

Interested candidates are requested to submit an accomplished Nomination Form and updated Curriculum Vitae on or before 02 March 2020 at 12:00 Noon, addressed to the:

PEM Board Selection Committee

Ortigas Center, Pasig City

All candidates will be shortlisted and evaluated in accordance with the minimum qualifications as follows:

• Resident of the Philippines;
• At least held a top managerial position for three (3) years;
• Has a substantial level of technical or commercial knowledge and expertise in the operation of power systems, electricity markets and/or financial markets;
• Must have a working knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework of the Philippine power industry;
• In good moral character or no pending case; and       
• Shall at least hold a bachelor’s degree of either the following:
  • Electrical/Mechanical or other Engineering Course
  • Economics/Finance
  • Business Administration/Accountancy.

The selection criteria agreed upon by the Board Selection Committee shall likewise apply during the selection and appointment procedures. Successful nominees are expected to dedicate sufficient time to participate in committee activities such as regular committee meetings and willing to undertake training program on the operations and governance of the REM and the WESM, and the role of the Committee.
