Dear REM Participants

Good day!

This is to apprise all REM Participants on the status of the January 2018 REC Issuance and to request from you our other REM data requirements.

A. Updates on the REC Issuance for January 2018

As of 29 June 2021, based on the REC Validation Forms received for January 2018, the following concerns have been raised and need to be resolved:

1. Monthly Meter Data (MQ) of some Mindanao Mandated Participants; and

2. Assignment of RECs for Contestable Customers (CCs) with multiple Retail Electricity Suppliers (RESs)

For Item No. 2 above, please be informed that the RE Registrar has elevated the matter to the Department of Energy-Renewable Energy Market Bureau (DOE-REMB) and will be discussed further.

In view of the foregoing, the RE Registrar will make the necessary adjustments for the RECs issued via PREMS for January 2018 upon resolution of the above concerns.. We will keep you posted for the updated schedules of the re- issuance of the January 2018 RECs.

B. Submission of 2018-2020 Gross Electricity Sales Data via PREMS

We would like to request the following Mandated Participants to submit your 2018 to 2020 Gross Electricity Sales Data via PREMS:

a. Distribution Utilities (DU), Retail Electricity Suppliers (RES) and Local RES that have not yet submitted the required gross sales data through the PREMS; and

b. DUs, RESs or LRESs with revisions on the sales data previously submitted to the DOE.

To check whether your company/organization has Gross Sales Data in the PREMS, kindly go to PREMS>Import Data>Gross Electricity Sales for On-Grid. 

Please also take note of the following:

1. Use the attached Gross Sales Data Template and submit the same for each year as csv file via PREMS.

2. Submit supporting affidavit by sending an email to reregistrar@wesm.ph or through the RE Registrar’s Secured File Transfer Protocol (SFTP).

3. The deadline of submission of the Gross Sales Data and supporting affidavit is until 30 July 2021.
